Can You Actually Fail A Personality Quiz?
Q. I didn't get a job that I interviewed for. The employer told me that I had "failed" the personality quiz. How is that possible? Does this mean that I have no personality?A. "Fail" is a pretty strong word when it comes to taking a personality quiz. In fact, it is so strong that it makes me wonder about the professionalism of the potential employer that administered the personality quiz to you.
Did you hear the one about the funny quiz that was walking past a graveyard?
Q. My company publishes a monthly employee newsletter. My boss asked me to write a funny quiz. I'm not exactly a stand-up comic. Help!A. Ah, the funny quiz. Lucky you! It's not often that a company has an official sense of humor that they are willing to display for all to read. This is going to be a great assignment for you!A funny quiz is typically one where the questions and answers have no real purpose other than to make the quiz taker laugh.
Should You Make A Career Decision Based Upon A Career Quiz?
Q. I'm about to graduate High School and I don't know what I want to be "when I grow up". Do you think that a career quiz might help me decide?A. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Knowing and Guessing
The line between average and exceptional work performance is dotted with ordinary day-by-day behaviors. I was reminded of that line recently. You're smart, dedicated and hardworking. And you believe you've been working in that company long enough to deserve a promotion. Yet you're still wondering why you haven't received that good news. You even start to think that your boss doesn't like you. But has it ever crossed your mind that the reason why you don't get promoted is because of your attitude?
Employers are looking not just at one's skills and abilities. Attitudes play a big part in gauging an employee's overall efficiency, so if you are determined to catch your boss's attention (in a good way), then you better shape up. Of course you can't make big changes overnight, but here are some quick effective tips that can help you land on a higher, better-paying job position:
1. Generate charisma.
Project a cheerful, vibrant personality when coming to work. This shows that you're have a positive outlook in your job as well as it creates a charismatic vibe among your work mates. You would soon win their vote if and when your boss begins to choose who among his employees deserves to be promoted.
2. Always be on time.

3. Create a social life in your workplace.
Make friends with everybody, not just to those near your cubicle. You can easily get the latest news, gossip, and other helpful information that can help you achieve your career goals. This also makes an image of you being an effective team-player.
4. Be grateful and thankful for what you receive.
You may not be sitting on the most comfortable chair, but still perform the best that you can. Working under such conditions and still making accomplishments are a big plus during your evaluation.
5. Make friends with your boss.
This is no form of conspiracy, but being friends with your boss is probably the best way to get promoted. Ask him questions, make suggestions. He would easily see that you're highly dependable and that you have the heart to lead the company to success.
