What does Cooking have to do with Dating

This article probably isn't going to be what you were expecting. But first let me say that, yes cooking can help. Let's look at those dynamics first of all.

More and more these days women love it when a man can cook. It says many things; he is self-subsistent and probably interesting. And he can fulfill one of her needs!

More and more these days, independent women know LESS how to cook. You can even safely bet on it.

I can fairly accurately assume that the underlying dynamics are more like this;

The woman hasn't had time to cook in her busy lifestyle and finds it psychologically comforting that a man is at least tentatively taking on her traditional role of cooking especially because she doesn't know how to cook.

She will likely find this an attractive trait and may even want to pigeonhole you into that future responsibility, leaving her off the hook and maintaining her independence. Plus, the food is free.

I didn't know why women liked that so much in a man but they do because it makes sense now.

I remember an X who saw me cooking in the student dorm and came up to me and hugged me from behind while I was cooking something (it was just mac and cheese!).

In the movie 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', Matthew McConaughey pulls out the 'big guns' with his cooking for Kate Hudson.

I recommend you can use cooking to your advantage to accelerate the relationship along to where both of you want.

Remember, you're not doing it to impress her and give her more power, but rather to maintain your power. Look at the dynamic that is going on. When you invite her over for a first or second date to YOUR house, that is a great opportunity (and excuse) to have her over in the first place.

But by having it at your place, things are on your terms and your turf so it neutralizes the 'he's trying to pay for my affection' associated with taking her out to a nice restaurant. You were going to eat anyways, so you might as well have her join you.

Even if you don't know how to cook a lot of different meals, it makes sense to learn how to cook something you like really well to just maintain a high standard of quality; like you.

I would recommend you use quality ingredients and make it a good experience. I talk more about this elsewhere. Now, lets get to the original point I wanted to make.

How is cooking like dating (Besides the above)

When you look at any production, construct or result there are elements involved. When you cook, these are called ingredients. The better the quality of ingredients and the better you are at combining and synergizing them together, the better and tastier the result.

When it comes to dating, relational dynamics is very powerful because we essentially can do the same thing. All producers, cooks, engineers, architects, advertisers, authors, composers and musicians do the same thing; they bring together the relational elements to form an interdependent synergy.

So for applying relational dynamics to power dating, work with the purest relational elements in the first place.

Instead of getting confused as to what to say or how to respond to the innumerable variables any different woman could present; just know your relationship to the root behavioral characteristic elements that she represents in the first place.

Like men, women have a Natural, Inner and Social Character. If you read my other articles you will know more about them. All of her behavior and action can be broken down into those representational characteritics.

Once you know your relationship to each of them and what they represent, you'll be able to synergize them in relationship to you instead of fighting against things you don't understanding and being ignorant.
