Yesterday I talked about the first step every successful marketer uses in their ad copy today I'll share with you step 2.
And once again I want to mention there are hundreds of great opportunities on the Internet. The trick is finding the legitimate ones. But know this... every good marketer uses these steps. Unfortunately some use them in more devious ways then others.
THE SECOND STEP
The next thing any good marketer instills in you at their website is making sure to instill the sense of URGENCY. It is also known as the FEAR OF LOSS approach.
Again go to any good copy written website and you'll see that towards the end of the copy the marketer starts setting you up with the fear of loss and instills that sense of urgency.
Tell me if these statements sound familiar:
*** "This offer may change at anytime, so act now!!"
*** "You must act now we can only offer this program to a few more applicants"
*** "Due to high volume this offer won't last"
*** "You snooze you lose"
*** "Spots are limited"
*** "With the volume of visitors this offer won't last"
*** "If you act today you can purchase at the unbelievable price of only....."
*** "Order by midnight tonight and save an additional $20"
*** "Due to a large number of applicants we have been overloading our service provider unfortunately we can only offer this program at this price until..." (then they have today's date, which is an HTML script that automatically changes the date each day)
I can guarantee you if you go back to that site the next day nothing has changed, only the due date for buying their program.
But the marketer of that site doesn't care about that, they know most purchases are done on impulse and that most people will not risk missing out on the deal being offered.
If the marketer can absolutely convince you if you don't act now you'll be missing out on the answer to all your problems he has you hook line and sinker, and most importantly your money.
Marketing is all about tapping into your emotions. We don't buy on logic and reason. Feel free to tell yourself that lie all day long. It's done on emotion and fear.
